Porsche 911 Turbo (997) 2008
Ever since the first 911 Turbo hit the roads in the 70's, they have been a mainstay and a hallmark of the Porsche 911 model line. As some of the most desirable 911's, no doubt owing to performance numbers but also due to pop culture appeal, the Turbo's have continued to garner love and attention which translates to solid values, especially for the older and less attainable units.
The 997 Turbo was a landmark design, hailed by many an enthusiast as the pinnacle of what the 911 Turbo stands for. With admirable performance (a cool 473bhp and 620 N⋅m of torque) and true to the badge handling, the 997 Turbo also brought back styling cues that had become synonymous with the 911, most notably the circular front headlights.
As can be expected from a 911 Turbo, the car featured all the bells and whistles you'd expect from a top of the line luxury sports car, yet weighed less than the outgoing 996 model. This was due in large part to the heavy use of weight-saving aluminium in the 997 Turbo's design. A 41 kilogram weight reduction is certainly nothing to scoff at.
This particular unit presents in absolutely mind-boggling condition. It is original throughout, with the owner having spent extra care in maintaining its pure 911 soul. It has been maintained at a renowned Porsche specialist known for their careful attention to detail and no shortcut attitude. As such, full history from its time in Malaysia is available. The car comes complete with the original owners manual and booklets, with the original Porsche car cover coming in its original duffel bag as well.
With no repairs due and only the most minor of cosmetic blemishes as expected from anything short of a garage queen, this particular unit is about as good as any 911 Turbo we've seen, if not better. A true collectors car and a drivers dream.
