Mercedes Benz S500 Coupe 1995
Representing the very last out of the "over-engineered" three-pointed-star lineup, the C140 was a true juggernaut of German automotive excellence. Fitted with all the bells and whistles expected from a top of the line model, the C140 proved to be the standard bearer of its time.
At a staggering weight of almost 2 and a half tonnes, the S500 coupe still manages a very respectable 0-100km/h time of 7.2 seconds. Really though, the C140 isn't about staggering performance and breakneck speed. Rather, this vehicle was built from the ground up to offer supreme comfort and luxury. Simply put, it has no equal.
This particular unit is probably the best example we've had around here at Jags Classic. In stunning original condition, the car boasts functioning electronics all around (even the notoriously temperamental seat-belt re-tractors, vacuum doors and 2-step sunroof!). The car even comes complete with its original users manual and medical kit. To top it all off, a nice two digit plate too. Clearly, this is one C140 that has been cherished throughout its over 20-year lifespan.
